We had missionaries to our house over the weekend. A great couple- going to Poland.
What a great time we had! Their passion was so great, and just a lot of fun to have around. Seemed like we were old friends. One thing that sticks with me is what Nate said, "In the Bible, things are always present tense. Like, love one another, encourage one another." So this means that we should be doing these things all the time-- not just referring to a past date when we did these things. The same is true with salvation-- not just that I prayed a prayer, so I am saved. We should say, I live my salvation now. I continue my relationship with Jesus now. I live for Him now.
That was a great lesson learned that I hope will stay with me.
I live with bipolar disorder, a father-in-law with Alzheimers, and my husband and 17 year old daughter with emotional needs such as my own. Reconciling this with my faith in Jesus Christ is sometimes difficult, but God is great, full of mercy and love.
