Answers to prayer

Praise God for He is good. His mercy endures to all generations, His grace reaches to the clouds. He is our help in time of trouble. The Lord will set me up upon a rock.

The Lord kept me up all night Tuesday night, working on issues in my life that I struggled with. He is so good. I got a 2 hour nap, and felt great with a clear conscience and clean pages for the future.

Now I look forward to what He will do.

Hope you look to Him as well, and find His comforting arms as you yield to Him.

Struggles

I have a lot on my mind. My husband is working a new job, and our schedules have all changed. The summer break is coming up, and I won't be working in the summer (I work at a school). God will help me (us), I know He is there. I am waiting on him, but I am still struggling while the transition is taking place.

Our kids are struggling too, with their faith and emotional issues.

Sometime all will be made right.

Living by faith

What happens when the rug is pulled from underneath you?
How do you deal when everything hits you?
What is the answer for a broken heart?
Learning to walk by faith, and not by sight.

This past few months has been a very bumpy ride for my family and I. With a teen in trouble, and having few resources to help, we look to the Lord for our resource, our strength, and our wisdom.

Have faith when all goes awry!
Don't hit the dirt and cry!
Faith in God is what we need
Look to Him, and plans succeed.

God Speaks!

God speaks today! Just read Hebrews 1. Long ago, before Christ, God spoke in various times and in various ways by the prophets. Essentially, He spoke off and on.
Now- He speaks by HIS SON. All of His sayings, and those things written by those who heard Him, speak to us today. Wonder what God says? Read the New Testament: He will speak to YOU!

time to trust

Faith is to be lived out. How difficult faith is, is up to me. It is not difficult when I trust Christ to take care of everything. "My yoke is easy and my burden is light." I look for this light burden and I yearn to trust. I have had a difficult couple of weeks with my adult children. Their choices are grievous to me, and I wonder what I have done wrong. However, they have free will, and their choices are not mine. I know they bear their own responsibility toward Christ. I pray for them and our entire family.

I identify with those who are grief-stricken over anything that shows itself in rebellion to Christ and His word.

Blog me and share. I will respond, and maybe we can encourage each other.

I'm still finding out how blogging works. It takes me awhile!

I just want to say that I have bipolar disorder and many physical ailments. If you just want to talk about it, post a comment!

I also have a son with Asperger Syndrome. He is 23 now and doing well. Many of his symptoms have resolved with age. Want to share your experience? Comment!

Missionaries

We had missionaries to our house over the weekend. A great couple- going to Poland.
What a great time we had! Their passion was so great, and just a lot of fun to have around. Seemed like we were old friends. One thing that sticks with me is what Nate said, "In the Bible, things are always present tense. Like, love one another, encourage one another." So this means that we should be doing these things all the time-- not just referring to a past date when we did these things. The same is true with salvation-- not just that I prayed a prayer, so I am saved. We should say, I live my salvation now. I continue my relationship with Jesus now. I live for Him now.
That was a great lesson learned that I hope will stay with me.

Hi-

I didn't mention that I have been a pastor's wife for 23 years, and a believer in Christ for 35. I have bipolar disorder and I am very sympathetic to other with mental illness. God has given me grace to bear it, and I know He will give you grace as well.
